2025 at the windmill

As we say farewell to 2025 and a big HELLO to 2026, we thought it was worth reflecting on the amazing year we have had at the windmill. So here is a summary of our year from a tourism perspective.

• We welcomed guests from 17 different countries! In top position, with the most bookings were the UK and Portugal, followed by Germany, Spain and the USA. We also had visitors from as far away as Colombia and Australia.

• Our busiest month this year was September, when we had 29 nights booked. All you clever people who booked in September, we salute you, it's a great month to visit with the temperatures more comfortable and the river still great for a swim.

• This year our pizza nights got more popular than ever and we served them to 28 of you, Mamma Mia!

• Once again, we got 100% 5-star reviews from our Airbnb guests, taking us well over 100 5-star reviews in total now. Whilst our booking.com review score is not bad at all at 9.7. Thanks to all those of you who took the time to review us this year.
  

However far you travelled to be at the windmill, and however you spent your time here, we thank you with all our hearts for choosing this remote corner of Portugal to spend your holiday. We met incredible people and we see you all as friends now, so please come back!
